Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Colors - Review

Dipping your fingers into the world of nude lipsticks can be tricky. You just have to find THAT ONE perfect shade that works best for you.

I have found a lipstick range which is opaque, semi-matte, doesn't cake, and heaven to apply.
YES! I'm talking about the much raved Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Colors in Bare It All (902C) & Rosebud (904B). I think many people love this brand for being just so easy on the pocket and impressive quality. Retailing at just 18 AED or $3, It's a major beauty bargain. You can easily buy several shades without breaking the bank.

Bare It All (902C) can be described as a light/medium rosy-brown nude shade with a hint of peach and warm undertones. It has a semi-matte finish. The color is very pretty and subtle. For me, it's the perfect nude that I have been looking for. It hits the right balance of being not too light or dark, not too pink or brown.

Rose Bud (904B) is mid-tone rose shade that is super flattering and doesn’t lean too cool or too warm. It captures the beautiful color of real roses and adds a pretty natural and subtle pinky-ness to your lips. It's like having a light strawberry red stain on your lips.

The colors are great and formulation is heavenly. These lipstick have a rich creamy texture; You can’t actually say that it’s a matte due to its creamy consistency. These lipsticks are semi matte and will not dry out your lips at all. At least not for me! But I've read some people complaining that they tend to dry out after couple of minutes or without wearing a lip balm. Luckily, I didn't have to face that. It just stayed really smooth and fresh on my lips.

Both the shades are super pigmented, so just one or two coats and you're good to go.

They also have wide variety of shades, and each shade is BEAUTIFUL. Many shades are said to be dupes for MAC shades. Just do a little googling and you can find out what shades are dupes.

These two colors are pretty close dupes to the MAC ones, Rosebud to MAC Fanfare and Bare It All to MAC Velvet Teddy.

Staying Power

This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips. (source)

They claim that these last for up to 4 hours and glide on easily with no feathering, bleeding or caking. Those claims are all pretty much true! Both lipsticks, probably since they're on the matte side, stay on for a good 4-5 hours with no eating, and a bit less if you do eat or drink during the day.

Packaging

Then there's the packaging!

The major drawback of the lipstick range is the packaging. It is awful. The product itself is sticking out of the container and putting the cap back to it's place is just so annoying! It just nicks with the lid every time you put it back on. Lipstick marks all over the cap, Just hate that!! The cheap packaging is my least favorite part about it.

I really can’t complain at this small price tag. They're super cheap though, so I'll probably still end up repurchasing them because the colors and quality is just so great.

I truly think these are some good lipsticks. They have their faults but what doesn’t?

I would recommend trying these lipsticks, and I will probably purchase other colors.

Let me know if you have tried these out before and what are you think about them, and if you haven't, Just go for it!

I hope you find this review helpful.

Love,
