Starter Kit - Face Makeup

Where makeup is making it's way through, there are still many girls beginning with makeup, who are not much aware of good products in the market.

When I started with makeup, I was so clueless, I used to get pretty confused while shopping for even basic products. I didn't know how they would turn out on my skin, whether they'll provide good coverage or last for good. No doubt makeup is the most confusing thing, especially for beginners. All those racks loaded with beautiful products to choose from! With that being said, I faced this struggle for a long time.

But now after that time of struggling with so many products I'v finally found top drugstore makeup products that I've compiled for all you beautiful girls!

Today I'm just gonna share with you somethings that I like from the drugstore.

Let's get started!

Part 1 : FACE MAKEUP

1- Liquid foundation

It is always important to get a foundation that is suitable for your skin type and matches your skin tone, plus, easy to use. I would prefer liquid foundation since it is pretty easy to use, especially for beginners, and has build-able coverage. I'v used stick foundations also but that's so much mess and hard to blend.

Light - Medium Coverage

Rimmel Perfect Match ( for dry skin)

Rimmel Lasting Finish ( for combination or oily skin)

Medium - Heavy Coverage

MaxFactor FaceFinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1

Bourjois Healthy Mix

2- Setting powder

I used to wear ONLY face powder when I started with makeup, like literally, even now, if I'm leaving in a hurry, I would just puff on some face powder to even out my skin and take away all the shine from my face and prevent it getting oily. If you have oily or combination skin, use a pressed or loose setting powder to prevent shine and make your makeup last longer.

Medium - Heavy Coverage

Bourjois Silk Edition

MaxFactor Creme Puff

Rimmel Stay Matte

3- Concealer

I don't like to hide all the imperfections from my skin, so I don't use any concealer, and don't own one. Yes, you read it right. I don't have any concealer in my stash! But if you have and like to hide dark circles, blemishes, and discoloration on the face I would suggest you to use a concealer one shade lighter to your skin tone to cover them up.

Under Eye Concealer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind

Rest of the Face
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

5- Blusher

Blushes liven up your complexion, and give a perfect pop of color to your cheeks, it makes your skin look healthy and glowing. Powder blushes are easy to apply and blend as compared to cream blushes. I would recommend you to use powder blush if you're starting with makeup.

NYX Blush

L.A Colors Mineral Blush

Rimmel Blushes

6- Contour (optional)

Contouring gives a nice sculpted look to your face.

Elf Contour Pallete

Wet n Wild Contour Pallete

MUA Bronze & Sculpt Kit

7- Foundation brush/sponge

I'm not of those who would spend $20 on a Sponge! With all that hype beauty blenders got, there are many dupe's available in the market. I got mine from a local store for $5 only! And trust me, it works wonders for me.You can also use your fingers to blend in your foundation, but using a proper foundation brush or blending sponge will give you better finish.

Top 5 Beauty Hacks

We all are beautiful, with or without make up. Still some like to spend time priming and polishing in order to get the perfect look they want. While every woman is beautiful in her own right, it is no secret that there are some who look like they spend much more time with their beauty routine than others. However, this does not mean that every beautiful woman in the world spends hours getting ready every morning.

From hair to makeup, there are hacks or shortcuts that you can use to enhance the beauty that already exists and help you to look like you spend hours doing so, while in reality you may only have to spend a few minutes. These shortcuts will help you to save time and get that model look.

In this post, I have compiled 5 beauty hacks that are easy, inexpensive and best of all, very effective. With these simple hacks, you can achieve your desired look within minutes.

 1. Use Baby Powder To Lengthen Your Lashes

False lashes can be a pain, time consuming as well! You don’t have to wear false lashes to get that long, full look. Follow the steps to achieve the crazy long lashes without the hassle.

Apply one coat of your favorite mascara after curling your lashes. Then, with a Q-tip or any eye shadow brush, dust baby powder or setting powder all over your lashes, and apply a second coat of mascara. And it will adhere to the powder to create natural extensions! Powder creates a base that makes them appear much fuller.
You can repeat this step till you achieve your desired result.

When applying your mascara, don’t just move your mascara wand from the base of your lashes up. Make sure to move the mascara wand back and forth while going up. The left and right motion will make sure every lash is covered entirely, all the way to the tip.

Skip the falsies for your next night out!

2. Use Business Card As A Mascara Shield

After creating those beautiful eyes, applying mascara can be a tricky business, which is why I love this genius trick. Hold any business card up to your lashes, then go crazy with the mascara. Your lashes will get properly coated to the very root, and any excess mascara will end up on the card, instead of your face!

*Clean the card off with a makeup removing wipe before you put it on your other eye.

3. Set Lipstick to Last

Lipstick tends to rub off, smudge and not look as great as it does when you first apply it. Now solve this problem with a tissue , a bit of foundation and translucent powder. While you're applying foundation, apply little bit over your lips too; before applying lip color. Now, when you have applied your desired lip color, just hold a tissue over your lips lightly and dust just a bit of translucent powder over the tissue. This helps to set the lipstick so that it lasts longer; giving it a matte look.

4. Hide Those Dark Circles

Dark circles are one some of the hardest things to cover in the world. But you can thank concealer for covering up those dreadful blemishes, dark circles and mask the appearance of under eye bags. Here I have a life changing tip to cover under-eye circles for all the girls who can't get the perfect concealed look.

There are many different ways and makeup hacks that can make the process easier and more effective. Dab an orange or peach colored corrector over dark under-eye circles. The orange or peach tones will cancel out the blue shadows that your under-eye circles give off. Top the orange or peach corrector with a concealer that matches your skin or is a shade lighter than your skin tone.

The most flattering way to apply concealer is to draw a triangle with the base under your eye and the point toward your cheek.

This shape not only conceals dark circles, but it also instantly creates the illusion that your face is lifted, drawing the focus upward.

5. Make Eyes Appear Bigger

If you don’t already own a white pencil, invest in one now to get those beautiful wide eyes!

Filling in this area with a dark liner looks sultry. But it can also make your eyes look about half their size. Instead of lining your water line with dark eyeliner, use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye. It will instantly open and brighten them up. You’ll see what a difference it really makes.
